(T)(X) La Défense: A Photographic Series with Infinite Perspectives

Dive into the captivating visual universe of Michael Bouton with his photographic series dedicated to La Défense, an iconic Parisian district emblematic of modernity and architectural innovation. This collection explores an artistic dimension where each precisely captured image transforms urban reality into a visual enigma. The buildings, known for their bold contours and avant-garde design, overlap here in a complex play of shapes and lines, creating optical illusions that challenge our perception of depth and space.

Each photograph poses a challenge to the observer, inviting a reinterpretation of urban architecture. The angles are carefully chosen to render the depths of field almost unreadable, where it becomes difficult to discern which building stands in front of another. This technique aims not only to capture structural beauty but to provoke reflection on the very nature of visual perception in a densely urban context.

Through this series, Michael Bouton does not merely document a place; he reinvents La Défense into a labyrinth of intertwined geometries, thus offering a new and surprising perspective on this urban landscape. Each work is an invitation to see beyond the visible, to explore how light, shadow, and structure combine to create unexpected harmony in the apparent chaos of the city.
